Troy, N.Y. — Liverpool girls basketball came up just short of a shot at a New York state championship with a 57-46 loss to Section I's White Plains on Friday night at Hudson Valley Community College's McDonough Sports Complex. Senior Nevaeh Wingate 's 21 points led Liverpool (21-4). Twelve of those came in the first half, even after she got into some earlier foul trouble.
