The new White Plains office of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) opens Monday, Jan. 23. The DMV had been located at the White Plains Mall, but moved out because the mall was being torn down to make way for a mixed-use project known as Hamilton Green. The DMV had been operating a temporary office in Tarrytown pending readiness of the new White Plains location. The Tarrytown office closed this past Friday. The new DMV office is located at the Source at White Plains at 1 Maple Ave.
